big city, bright lights

A Weekly Look at My Time in NYC.

Week Seventeen

So, I haven’t blogged in a while. But I’m back! New York is in the past and I feel a lot has changed. At least within myself. I feel really confused about a lot of things. Is this what all graduates feel like? I don’t know what to do next. To be honest, I kind of want to go back. But I’m a little too poor for that right now.

As far as the job hunt, I have one interview. I kind of hope I get it so I dont have to look anymore. But then at the same time, I hope I dont get it. I don’t know. I just have a lot on my mind.

Being 23 is hard…

Week Seven

This was the week of Celebs! I got to see Ethan Hawke, Bruce Willis Regis and Kelly and Jake Gyllenhaal was just walking around the office. It was such a good week, I got sent home early from work for being sick on Tuesday and the office was closed on Friday for the snow storm. It was also the first annual Dorm Party (DP) which was a success and walking on the BK Bridge. It was so beautiful. Pictures can’t do it justice. You have to see it for yourself.

Week Six

Fashion Week! Finally. This was the hardest week yet. So much working, walking and snow. I’m glad it’s over, but I was very glad to be a part of it. Here is my blurry take on Fashion Week. *They dont really allow pics of things, so I had to be stealthy. Hints the blurryness*

This is what I saw on my way to Bryant Park. It wasn’t the most beautiful morning.

Bryant Park subway station!

The tents

Bryant Park Hotel. Where the Spanx Suite was.

The Entrance

This wasn’t at Fashion week, but I saw her at the FIT Museum. Interesante.

Went to Kleinfeld today. It was a no go for trying on dresses. *Appointment Only* But I got to see some filming and I saw the lady the long black hair! (I dont know her name!) I also saw Simon from Real Housewives of NYC. He was eating veggie pizza (no picture of him.)

You don’t blog anymore.

I can’t seem to bring myself to blog on a regular basis. A couple of months ago I was so in love with the thought of blogging everyday. But now I realize I don’t have that much to talk about. That kind of feels like my trip here. I was so excited and now it’s here. Not so exciting.

Everyone one else in my life (who is not here) is wondering why I’m not having the time of my life. Well let me tell you: I go to work for almost 8 hours during the day. Then i go to class for 3 hours at night. In my off time I either want to sleep or I have homework to do. That’s why I’m not having the time of my life…just yet.

I’m about to turn some stuff around. I don’t think things are as hard as I’m making them. Class? Eh, Ive never worked really hard in class anyway. My Internship? I’m about to make those chicks like me whether they like it or not and I’m going to fashion week. With or without them. Nightlife? I’m about to get me one this weekend.

This former BU grad came in last night and spoke to us. About how she got to where she is. She said something interesting “Everyone should at some point in their life, work in New York. But don’t stay there long” Apparently this city can make you crazy.

But I’m up for the challenge. I wonder what I’m going to be like at the end of all this…

Sorry for the emo blog.

Texas.
